LFKB.TV Episode #1 : ‘Boys in the Hood pt 1 : Pimp my Ride’ : Show Notes
Coming in to support the efforts of Liquid Force Kiteboarding, Northwest rep- Gregg ‘Tekko’ Gnecco and the NWLiquid.com crew, the team’s first task was to secure transportation. Fortunately for us and all of those that will enjoy the video and pictures from the subsequent rail sessions, Tekko had traded out some work for an old subaru wagon the previous year with Slingshot Kiteboarding superstar and Kite-looping, video making madman, Ruben Len10.
Before the boys could get on with the action of kiteboarding, some wakeboarding, wakesurfing, snowboarding, skateboarding and many other Hood River summer activities.. they were in the need for some ‘Pimp My Ride’ action!
A quick trip to the local ACE hardware for a $20 investment in paint job and the boys were set. Enjoy! As Chucktown native/North Shore Local (yeah, figure that one out…) Davey Blair leads you on an adventure in ride pimping. We may not be throwing down like MTV with complete rebuilds and 20″ Giovanni Rims... but Morris lays down a Liquid Force first- The Red Wall Tires… to compliment the precision red pin striping that really sets off this ride.
With the paint job secure and the natives getting restless to see a show.. it was time to ‘Ghetto Fabulous’ an upramp so we could get the Liquid Force Subaru down to the beach for the first session.
Special thanks to:
Jim Grady and the Columbia Gorge Kiteboarding Association- for securing the beach cleanup permits required to drive out onto the sand and for the NWKite.com online kiteboarding community/forum for their continued support and for bringing out the crowds at the Hood River Sandbar!!
Stay tuned next week on Liquid Force Kiteboarding.TV as the boys upgrade the LF subaru slider and get out around ‘The Hood’- Hood River, Oregon that is, for some lightwind activities.
Thanks for tuning in to Liquid Force Kiteboarding.TV!!
